Join us for an official celebration of the City of Sweet Home's newest mural, located at 1244 Long Street on the former feed store and along the City's planned Festival Street!
Katie Daisy and Karen Eland are two celebrated Oregon muralists who were selected to create a mural just for Sweet Home that is now part of Oregon's mural collection. The mural features flora and fauna that are found in and around Sweet Home, as well as our beloved Weddle Bridge.
Huge thanks go out to our primary sponsor, the Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians, as well as the Sweet Home Community Foundation and Pacific Power, for their financial support. We are also grateful to our former Ad Hoc Committee on Arts & Culture for establishing a public art policy and selecting the artists. The ribbon-cutting will feature brief remarks from City Manager Jason Ogden and Mayor Susan Coleman. We hope you will join us to celebrate this incredible addition to our downtown streetscape!
