Notice - Local Water Pressure
The City’s water system recently experienced some fluctuations in water pressure which are causing some discoloration as sediment is released from the pipes. The water has been tested as it leaves the plant, as well as in the areas where we've received reports of discoloration, and it is well within safe levels for drinking and other use.
Public Works is flushing the system in the affected areas but residents may continue to see discoloration while the system is cleared. Staff will also continue to test at the plant and in the affected areas to ensure the water continues to be safe for use.
If you are experiencing an unusual color or other issues with your water, please call 541-367-6359 to report it (or please call 541-367-5181 if it is after business hours and you think the level of discoloration is an emergency). We appreciate your patience as our Public Works staff responds to these issues and flushes the system!
