The Friends of the Library was established in 1984 to help support the Library. The Friends currently fund our Summer Reading Programs for all ages, participate in our Art in the Park events, fund our Community Reads Program and provide funds for our circulating games and puzzles. They are an incredible community asset.
All funds raised by the Friends of the Library cover their operations costs and all programs at the Sweet Home Public Library.

The Bookstore is currently open Tuesday - Saturday from 11am - 5pm.

In 2024 the Friends turned 40 years old!

The store accepts donations only during open hours.

The Friends also do other fundraisers throughout the year. It is NOT a requirement to work in the bookstore to be part of the Friends; we try to fit talents, tasks, and people to the right job.
