Green Peter Drawdown & Water Quality Information
***Please note that this page is no longer being maintained regularly as of December 2023 due to pending litigation. Please contact the City of Sweet Home directly with any questions or concerns.***
The City of Sweet Home is aware of and very concerned about the issues caused by the US Army Corps of Engineers' drawdown of the Green Peter Reservoir and is constantly monitoring water quality. The City of Sweet Home has no jurisdiction over the lakes and dams but is investigating options to modify or stop future drawdown plans.
This page will be updated regularly with information for your use. If you have suggestions for additional information or wish to report issues with your water, please email WQInfo@sweethomeor.gov.
For a current map of Sweet Home's boundaries, please utilize this site and type "Sweet Home, OR" in to the search box in the upper left.
Water Quality Reporting
The City of Sweet Home performs regular testing of our drinking water at our Wastewater Treatment Facility. Recent test results and additional information can be found on our Water Quality Report page, including results from two independent labs on 12/1/2023 showing there is no mercury in our water supply.

Questions & Answers
The City has been collecting questions from the public since early November and has compiled a list of those questions and answers. This document will be updated regularly as new questions come in and we receive more information. Please note that you will not see all of the questions on the City's list; many questions are outside of our jurisdiction and have been forwarded to the US Army Corps of Engineers.
